On the eve of September, your Thomas Jefferson Jaguars traveled to the Eastbank to battle the Haynes Yellow Jackets at Joe Yenni Stadium. This football game was for more than just a regular rivalry game; it was a game for bragging rights and the Magnet Bowl trophy.
A matchup that produces blood, sweat, and tears every year was the first game for each side this year. Both teams threw their best punch, and this year the Jaguars got the knockout.
The Jaguars set the tone from the first defensive possession when they forced a safety. From then on, the Jaguars dominated and scored in every quarter while only allowing one touchdown the entire game. The final score was 29-7.
The Jaguars celebrated their victory but now turn their focus to the Newman. The Jaguars will host the Greenies Thursday, September 7th at Hoss Memtas Stadium at 6:30PM.
